Waterloo (c. 1906) is one of a series of 16 paintings by Coolidge on Dogs Playing Poker. The series was commissioned in 1903 by the advertising firm Brown & Bigelow to sell cigars. The original title was Judge St. Bernard Wins on a Bluff. Note that the judge only has a pair of twos, much to the chagrin of the other dogs who have better hands. The Doberman, in particular, is not amused.
