The experiment is to run a renewal process until time \(t\). The arrivals are shown as red dots on a timeline, and the random variable of interest is the number of arrivals \(N\). The interarrival distribution can be selected from among a number of special distributions using the drop-down box. In each case, the parameters of the distribution can be set with the input controls, and the mean and standard deviation of the interarrival distribution are shown. The time parameter \( t \) can also be varied with the input control.
