The experiment consists of sampling with replacement from the population \(\{1, 2, \ldots, m\}\) until \(k\) distinct values are obtained. In the app, the population elements are balls, and the label on a ball indicates the number of times the ball has been selected in the sample. Random variable \(W\) gives the sample size needed and is recorded in the data table, along with the sample \(\boldsymbol{X}\). The distribution of \(W\) is described in the distribution graph and table. The parameters \(m\) and \(k\) can be varied with the input controls.
